Rattan Elephant Console

Furniture made by hand from a natural material carries within it the record of its own making — every strand of rattan a mark of the craftsperson's attention, every joint an expression of a tradition of weaving that cannot be accelerated or mechanised without losing the quality that makes it worth having. The Rattan Elephant Console, at 143cm long and with the distinctive silhouette of its elephant-leg base, is a piece of genuinely artisanal furniture: one that anchors a hallway or a living room with organic warmth and a personality entirely its own.
